This reminded me so much of an episode in Breaking Bad called "The Fly", where nothing, and everything, happens. I've always seen it as a risky move from the creators of the series, and now seeing something similar executed by you is amazing!
Long live the mosquitoes that sparks these thoughts 😂
Rick, I'm honored to hear these words from you. Thank you so much! Not only has your support always been there, but I've learned a lot from you on the storytelling subject. You've been and continue to be a major source of inspiration in this respect. And isn't it all about storytelling?
Yes! I've always instinctually gravitated toward storytelling, but I've begun to actually study the phenomenon a bit more, looking into such things as narrative psychology. Stories are literally how our brain works and how we orient ourselves to the universe.
I sometimes shout at mosquitos and it rarely works.
There's a story about King Solomon and a mosquito. I asked ChatGPT to sum it up for me because it's 1:16am and I don't want to forget to share it with you
"King Solomon, known in Jewish tradition for his wisdom, once boasted that he understood the language and purpose of all creatures. To test him, God sent a mosquito to annoy Solomon. The mosquito entered Solomon's brain through his nose and caused him great pain for many years, humbling him and teaching him about the limits of his knowledge and power.
This story is not only about the humility of Solomon in the face of God's creations but also a reminder of the importance of humility and the limitations of human understanding. The mosquito, a small and seemingly insignificant creature, becomes a powerful tool for imparting this wisdom."
This story kind of makes God seem like an asshole.

Thank you so much! This is what happens when you don't know what to write about. :)
I don’t know many writers who could extract such extended delight from a brief annoying moment.

Love this, Yehudis. Thank you so much!
