I love this series Silvio! So easy to get lost in your beautiful writing.

from a purely prosaic point of view: not eating for 3 or more hours before bed means more REM sleep which means more dreams and especially more vivid dreams. Or so says my Oura ring

And I guess if you asked your Oura ring about skipping dinner altogether she'd probably throw a party lol :) Thanks for reading Anna.

Smiled and smiled throughout. Magical -- a word I will use a lot here. This has the perfect ending, wrapping the magical in the surreal.

This once again has a Murakami-esque voice, taking aspects of the mundane but giving them a twist of phrasing to make you smile or question or pause to ponder something you'd never considered.

I am a big fan of dreams and thinking of what, if anything, they mean. I tend to go through phases of having really intense dreams. Perhaps I'll give fasting a go and see if it makes a difference ;)

Thank you, Nathan! Yes, the element of magic is typical Murakami. You can tell his influence on me here. Also, the element of mystery, which is inextricably tied to magic. When I can incorporate these two, I feel a certain satisfaction, no matter how effective to the reader. Dreams contain both. I too have been on a quest to understand more about dreams. So fascinating.

I also find dreams and its relation to life very interesting, and also think it might be related to our fasting regime haha

Have you read the poem by David Whyte 'What to Remember when Waking'? Your piece made me think of it.
